Forbes lifestyle is one of the prime destinations for every lifestyle reader, and this week’s cool geek, Lauren Sherman, is one of the faces that has added a class to the lifestyle reads of Forbes with her day to day classic finds through her Forbes blog, FindoftheDay. And now this pretty lass has turned entrepreneur with The Fashion Beat, a site that offers analysis on fashion and retail news and trends. Besides handling her own little venture, Lauren also contributes to BusinessWeek and eBay’s The Inside Source and Brand Packaging magazine. Check out her personal blog here.

I was a lifestyle reporter at Forbes for the last four years, mostly covering fashion and retail but also looking at luxury travel, real estate and gadgets. I was also the writer of ForbesLife’s Find of the Day blog. Before that, I was based in London and worked as the online editor at Quintessentially, a lifestyle concierge service and magazine. Within the last month, I’ve gone freelance and have founded The Fashion Beat (www.tfbeat.com), a site that offers analysis on fashion and retail news and trends. I’m also a contributor to BusinessWeek.com, eBay’s The Inside Source and Brand Packaging magazine. I have more in store, but I can’t mention it all! I’m based in Brooklyn.
